The thing about limericks is that once one gets writing, it's hard to stop.
There once... DLB 2023
There once was an author who grinned
While six chapters a day, she penned.
But as copious edits,
Brought mind-splitting headaches,
Her grinning soon came to an end.
A writer went to a conference
To do a little reconnaissance.
She made seven new friends,
Met three agents and then
Grew in her writerly confidence.
A novelist wrote up some fiction—
A hero, a plot with some friction.
His agent was pleased,
But his editor sneezed,
Vexed by generic depictions.
